Apink’s Son Na-eun is expected to leave her current agency and join YG Entertainment.
On the 29th, PlayM Entertainment, Apink’s agency, announced that it has renewed its contract with five members except Son Na-eun. Regarding Son Na-eun, the agency stated,
After an in-depth discussion with the members and the company, Son Na-eun agreed to not renew her contract [with PlayM] to move toward a new dream.
Unfortunately, Son Na-eun has not been able to join us, but all six of the members have the same love for the group. We intend to continue our positive and cooperative relationship in this regard. In the future, all six members, whether they are together or separate, will still be Apink.
In addition, we plan to continue Apink’s group activities together in the future.
Since the beginning of this month, Son Na-eun has been in talks with YG Entertainment and has been working on an exclusive contract.
Son Na-eun, who debuted in Apink in 2011, is a singer-actress and is currently filming JTBC’s “Human Disqualification [literal title],” starring Jeon Do-yeon and Ryu Jun-yeol.
YG Entertainment has stated that they are positively discussing the contract with Son Na-eun.
